Still Life – Collages

I have made this series of A3 still life mixed media collages to explore the possibilities of combining colour, surface mark and line to create a resolved picture. The variety of pictorial elements can compete and the main process therefore is to wrestle with the work until a satisfying arrangement is achieved. Any resulting narrative in the collage emerges without conscious planning.
